Iain Richards is a 19 year old aspiring to be as bold as possible in the media industry.
From an early age, Iain found acting and starred in performances such as Oliver! before he was even a teenager. In his later teens, Iain found other passions in Filmmaking and Media. He attended Elstree UTC to harness these skills along with his acting and made two short films, a music video and starred in a few performances in his time here.
Leaving Elstree UTC with a big portfolio under his belt, Iain landed the Marketing and Media role at the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) (WDSA UK). It is with the WDSA (UK) where he has nurtured his knowledge of promotion and marketing for charities, social media and project managing. In his time here, he has also hosted their 10th Anniversary Gala in Stratford.
Throughout his teens, Iain was heavily involved in radio. He was 15 when he got his first chance at contributing to an evening show on Watford’s Vibe 107.6FM, he went on to host another Saturday morning show. It was in 2014 that his volunteering here had to stop due to legal reasons. When he was 17 he pursued radio again, applying to the Pulse Hospital Radio (then Watford Hospital Radio) where he landed his own evening show which still continues today. It is here where he met good friend and longtime collaborator Ollie Ring, together in 2016 they raised over £1000 for the Pulse HR by doing a 24 hour broadcast together. Moving on from this, he met Adam Tungatt who allowed Iain to regularly co-host with him on Friday nights leading to their newest venture. In 2017, Iain and Adam launched their podcast, Faces for Podcast, in order to gain more broadcast experience and hopefully acquire a new audience.
